2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 Release Date and Interior

Porsche likely becomes the most popular spied photos on the internet during the early of this New Year because there are many leaked photos of their future projects including 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4. These spied photos show us a Porsche Cayman prototype that was covered by an aggressive front fascia and mounted giant rear wing. We highly predicted that is a GT4 version that rumored has ultra-high performance with many variants and range-toping. Big Pushed

We looked the Porsche efforts in these past two years that they concerned to tune-up their twins’ lineup Cayman and Boxster performances. They want to maintain its rank with the 911. For your information, Cayman GT4 is a row below the 911 top-selling nowadays. Although Porsche has implemented midengine chassis as good as possible for Cayman plus handle more power. Our argument was proved by these spied photos of 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4. You can see how far this Cayman has big pushed by its manufacturer. Thus, the next Cayman GT4 looks like an answer from Porsche to the customers in order to follow 911’s popularity.

Still Same Platform

Here comes the question of what is the platform of 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4? We believe that the new GT4 still uses its mid-engine platform of course with some supports from other Cayman models like Cayman S and Cayman GTS. We got some info that it will use the bigger engine of the 911 that is using two aspirated flat-sixes now which pumped out 400 horsepower with 3.8 liter engines of Carrera S. Another indicator, they still use the 3.4 Liter engines of Cayman S and GTS models. In addition, GTS rated at 340 horsepower and Carrera pumped 350 horsepower, we will see at least 355 horsepower on the next-gen of Cayman GT4 if it will use the 3.4 liter unit. Some rumors said that turbocharged V-4 engine will become as optional features. For the transmission, we expect Automatic-only as same as their GT3 models.
